HBO has released the first look for the third season of its crime show, 'True Detective'.
The upcoming season, releasing in January 2019, follows Wayne Hays, a state police detective, as he investigates what appears to be the kidnapping of a child. Hays character will be played by 'Moonlight' actor Mahershala Ali.
This Cary Fukunaga directorial is penned by American novelist Nic Pizzolatto. While the first season got the audience all excited, the second season was not so much of a hit.
Since last year, Ali was in talks with HBO to star in the upcoming season.
