Trains being searched at Mathura Railway Station post bomb threat call

A bomb threat call was received at Agra Control Room of the Indian Railways following which the personnel of the Government Railway Police (GRP) and Bomb Squad are conducting a search operation at the Mathura Railway Station in Uttar Pradesh.

All trains going from Agra to New Delhi are currently being searched by the agencies.

Two trains - Utkal Express and Firozpur Chinddwara Express - have been cleared and other trains are being searched.

It is reported that the call was made from a mobile phone belonging to a person named Brahmdev Gupta, a resident of New Krishna Colony, Agra.

The police have arrested him. He has been taken to the Aitmatudualla Police Station in Agra for interrogation.
