TRANSEARCH explores CSR's relevance in corporate leadership

To understand the changing economic, regulatory and social environment in the corporate world, TRANSEARCH India organized a discussion on "Corporate Citizenship, Trust and Creating an Employer brand" that focused on embracing ethics, compliance and social responsibility which helps to create a compelling employer brand.

As the voice of excellence for executive search and leadership consultants, the discussion was intended towards an innovative program that focused on the future of CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility).

With the event graced by the presence of stalwarts such as Vineet Nayar, former CEO, HCL Technologies and founder of Sampark Foundation; Bhaskar Chatterjee, Director General and CEO, Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs, Corporate Affairs Ministry; Ajay Kaul, CEO, Jubilant FoodWorks; Hart Hilman, Founder-CEO, Bigwin Group; Ramendrajit Sen, Vice President and Head-Human Resources of HP India among other distinguished luminaries and respondents, the paradigm and related issues of relevance to corporate leadership and policy were discussed in the transit.

 

"Our focus when we started the Sampark Foundation was to give primary education to children in the grass root areas. We committed 100 million dollar to the cause and decided to work in hand with the government. We joined hands with Punjab, Chhattisgarh and Uttarakhand Government," Nayar said in his address.

"Our focus was to understand the social responsibility to educate more and more kids for a better future with a spice of innovation for which we brought in audio devices that were useful in various techniques of education," he added.

Embracing multiple streams of ethics, compliance and social responsibility, Kaul on his part said that his organization lead emphasis on the ambition of how to work good for five years so that the future is bright.

"We as the most trusted and loved organization, work straight from the heart. Surprisingly, the youngsters in our organization in a survey conducted focused on working towards a responsible citizen for the environment that we live in. Apart from becoming the largest market share, we work towards becoming the most loved company," he added.

Modeled as a disruptive innovation and rapid corporate leadership building conclave, the event also elaborated on the keys and policies to attract, retain and engage employees to influence business outcomes by Hart Hilman, Founder and CEO, Bigwin Group and Pari Jhaveri, Partner, CSR, Education and Bop.
