Travis Barker has revealed that he was a drug addict at one time.

Talking about his drug addiction in his new memoir 'Can I Say', the 39-year-old singer, who survived a plane crash that killed four others in 2008, revealed that he suffered from depression.

The 'Heart's All Gone' hit-maker was quoted by E! Online saying, "My attitude was like, 'S--t, I could be dead tomorrow.' I grew up losing my mom at a young age, being shot at a young age. Doing lots of drugs. If it was my time, it was my time, but then it wasn't until when I had kids-everything changed."

The singer further said that while he was in Australia in 2004, he got so addicted to Oxycodone that his security used to stay up all night to check if he was breathing.

He added. "My bones were so brittle from so much painkiller use."

Previously, Barker had survived the fatal plane crash on September 19 2008, when the private jet he was travelling on blew out a tire and burst into flames.
