Alastair Cook has got the support from the off-spinner James Tredwell to remain as one day captain, in view of Kevin Pietersen's call for him to step down.
England lost their second ODI against Sri Lanka by eight-wicket on Saturday, taking their tally to 15 defeats in their previous 22 completed one-dayers against Test playing nations.
According to Tredwell, Cook is a class player, who is on brink of regaining his form. He further said that they are all behind him in his leadership as well, the BBC reported.
Commenting on the team's poor run, he said that they haven't scored runs on the board and bowled well as unit in the same game. He further said that their challenge is to put it all together as one.
England trails the seven-match series 2-0 against Sri Lanka. Cook scored only 22 as England were bowled out for 185 in Colombo.
