Trevor Noah to take over as 'Daily Show' host post Jon Stewart's exit

Trevor Noah will be taking over for Jon Stewart as the new host of 'Daily Show.'

Comedy Central has made the official announcement for the next host of the Emmy and Peabody Award-winning show, which has been hosted by Stewart since 1999, Deadline.com reported.

Noah took to Twitter to comment on the news writing "No-one can replace Jon Stewart. But together with the amazing team at The Daily Show, we will continue to make this the best damn news show!"

During an interview, Michele Ganeless, the Comedy Central president said that they had been looking for a long time, and in Trevor, they found the best person for the job, adding that "you don't hope to find the next Jon Stewart - there is no next Jon Stewart.
