Several tributes poured in on social media after veteran actor and director Richard Attenborough passed away at the age of 90.
Brit Prime Minister David Cameron issued an official statement saying that the actor was "one of the greats of cinema" and his acting in 'Brighton Rock' was brilliant and his directing of 'Gandhi' was spectacular, the Independent reported.
Actor Sir Roger Moore posted his tribute via Twitter saying that he was greatly saddened to hear the great Attenborough had left them adding that he was such a amazing and talented man.
Samantha Bond tweeted that she was so saddened to hear that they had lost Attenborough. He was such a great actor, great director, funny, flirtatious, intelligent and a true gentleman.
Chelsea Football Club also issued a statement in order to pay their condolences to the actor saying that it was "deeply saddened" to learn of the death of the actor and would always be grateful that the club was close to his heart.
