British firm Triumph has designed a motorbike, which is looking to smash the world speed record with a machine that can make the vehicle go in excess of 400 miles per hour.
According to The Daily Express, the 25ft Castrol Rocket has been fitted with two Triumph Rocket engines, generating 1,000bhp, and designed to beat the current record of 376mph, set in 2010.
The bike, built by the Leicestershire-based company's US wing, has just finished initial tests at Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah, in the US, the report said.
Rider Jason DiSalvo, 29, has been picked for the world-record attempt, the report added.
Triumph last held the two-wheeled title between 1955 and 1970, when their specially built bikes reached 245mph, the report further said.
