England batsman Jonathan Trott has failed to make a resounding comeback to cricket for county side Warwickshire home ground in a two-day friendly, making only four and again falling to a left-arm seamer.

When Trott quit what turned out to be a 5-0 Ashes thrashing by Australia after twice falling cheaply to fast bowler Mitchell Johnson in the first Test in Brisbane, England officials said he was suffering from a 'stress-related illness'.

According to Sport24, Gloucestershire left-armer David Payne struck this time, with Trott managing only four shots spanning 40 minutes before he shouldered arms to an in-swinger and was LBW playing no stroke.

However, Warwickshire stand-in captain Varun Chopra said that Trott had had no problems settling back into the county routine and has fitted in well, adding that although he did not get too many runs, he has got another opportunity on Wednesday and in next week's match at Oxford University.
