U.S. President-Elect Donald Trump met former vice president and environmentalist Al Gore on Monday.
Trump spokesman Jason Miller informed the reporters before the meeting that Al Gore would meet the President-elect's daughter, Ivanka Trump to discuss climate issues.
Gore said that after meeting Ivanka, he met with Trmp himself and had productive talks with him.
"I had a lengthy and very productive session with the President-elect. It was a sincere search for areas of common ground. I had a meeting beforehand with Ivanka Trump. The bulk of the time was with the President-elect, Donald Trump. I found it an extremely interesting conversation, and to be continued, and I'm just going to leave it at that," CNN quoted Gore, as saying.
Gore remained prominent as an author and environmental activist since leaving the office. His work in climate change activism earned him the Nobel Peace Prize jointly with the IPCC in 2007.
Trump will be meeting Washington D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser on Tuesday in New York
According to the mayor's office, police safety, statehood and infrastructure would be discussed in the meeting.
