United States President Donald Trump hasn't had the best week as it saw him pulling the disputed health care bill and facing FBI charges of a collusion between his White House campaign and Russia.
But amidst the chaos, about 100 people held a pro-Trump rally in midtown Manhattan on Saturday, in one of about 40 such events across the country, as reported by The Guardian.
"It's time for us to stand up and tell people what we believe in," said a Trump supporter from Long Island who organised the Manhattan event.
"We need to be heard."
Dell'Elce, echoing Trump's own remarks, said she was unperturbed by the failure.
"What's going to happen now is Obamacare is going to get worse," she said. "The premiums are going to go up and it's just going to destroy itself."
"Now he's going to take care of the taxes. I want him to take care of the middle class like us. My husband pays much too much taxes."
Undeterred, people chanted Trump's name while a small choir sang in praise of him.
"He may be the best negotiator there is," Lent said. "But he has to just rely on his own party and deal with the Freedom Caucus and all of the hardcore conservatives."
Similar pro-Trump events took place in cities in 30 states. Anti-Trump activists also planned counter-protests at some locations, as reported by The Guardian.
Later, Trump tweeted his thanks to those who turned out to back him. "Amazing support," he wrote. "We will all MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!"
Thanks you for all of the Trump Rallies today. Amazing support. We will all MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!

The for- and against- protests come a day after Trump asked the House Republicans to pull the heath care bill, that too a day after he threatened to walk away from health care reform if he didn't get a vote.
House Speaker Paul Ryan, eventually, pulled the Obamacare repeal bill from the floor.
Ryan had told Trump he did not have the votes to pass the measure, the culmination of seven years of Republican efforts to eradicate President Barack Obama's proudest domestic achievement.
The development came as a major embarrassment for Trump, who had gambled big time by presenting holdout House conservatives with a take-it-or-leave it ultimatum on Thursday night and had ultimately put his own credibility on the line.
