United States President Donald Trump on Wednesday planned to meet and speak with special counsel Robert Mueller soon, in connection with the Russian collusion investigation.
According to The Hill, the White House has sought to comply with the special counsel's requests in hopes that the investigation will wrap soon and clear Trump of any wrongdoing.
"I'm looking forward to it. I would do it under oath," said Trump.
Meanwhile, Trump has ridiculed the Russia investigation as a "witch hunt" and a "hoax".
The US President expected that he would speak to Mueller within two to three weeks, adding that the date and other formalities were being worked out by his lawyers.
