'Gardeners' World' presenter Monty Don has revealed that when he was dating his wife, then girlfriend, he wooed her by trimming her lawn, with a pair of kitchen scissors.
The BBC anchor said that he had to spent hours cutting the grass because he couldn't find the key to the shed that had the lawnmower, the Mirror reported.
Don asserted that his wife has always believed that he was a romantic fool for doing what he did.
Don added that the couple were only 25 then, but they bought a house with the biggest garden they could afford.
