Turkey has released audio recording of the warnings it gave to the Russian war plane before it was shot down near the Syrian border, hours after surviving Russian crew member insisted there had been no contact.

According to The Guardian, a voice can be heard in the audio recording that said "change your heading".

However, Konstantin Murakhtin, a navigator who was rescued in a joint operation by Syrian and Russian commandos said that there had been no warnings either by radio or visual means.

Murakhtin also denied entering the restricted Turkish airspace, saying that he could perfectly see the border and their location as there was no danger of entering Turkey.
