Turkey's YouTube ban continues after court backtrack ruling

YouTube will remain banned in Turkey after a court backtracked on an earlier ruling to grant access to the video-sharing site.

Recently, the Turkish Constitutional Court ruled that the ban was unconstitutional and violated human rights.

The microblogging site was initially blocked after a leaked recording of senior government officials, which had circulated through the site.

According to Dawn News, however, the court later reversed the decision, saying the block would remain in place until the audio recordings allegedly showing top-level security talks on Syria are removed.

The change of decision comes after Turkish government complied with a Constitutional Court ruling and scrapped a similar ban on San-Francisco-based Twitter.
