Fans of a Turkish football club had reportedly given their Champions League opponents Arsenal a sleepless night before the first leg of their qualifying round clash by letting off firecrackers outside Arsenal's hotel late at night.

However, the report said that Arsenal cruised past Turkish side Fenerbahce, whose fans caused the commotion, and came in a strong position to qualify for the group stages of the Champions League with a 0-3 score.

According to Metro.co.uk, hardcore fans of Turkish side Fenerbahce tracked down the hotel where the Arsenal team was putting up and then proceeded to let off flash bangs, firecrackers and flares right outside the building, where the players were trying to sleep.

The report further said that Arsenal flew out to Turkey for the game on Tuesday, with Arsene Wenger warning that his side faces a tricky task to qualify for the Champions League.

Tweeting a photo of the commotion going on outside his window, Arsenal's Jack Wilshere further tweeted that he and his team were getting ready for their match with Fenerbahce, with 'visitors' outside their hotel.

After having been forced to deal with both the fans and a tough Fenerbahce side, Arsenal will have a double cause for celebration if they qualify for the Champions League, the report added.
