Turkish government has threatened it would block access to the social networking site Twitter if it does not block the newspaper account that published the details of a secret government investigation.

According to PCWorld, the block threat came after a Turkish court ruled that media outlets cannot publish documents on a military police raid on the Turkish Intelligence Agency due to national security concerns.

A newspaper called BirGun continued to publish details on the raid on its Twitter account after the ruling.

However, Twitter blocked the post that showed images of raid documents but it did not block the account that the government had requested.
