Television actors Ayub Khan and Smita Bansal, who joined the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) just days ahead of the Delhi Assembly elections, on Sunday praised party convener Arvind Kejriwal for his positive views.
"We want a change in politics. Before this I had never thought of joining a political party. All political parties used to appear similar to me. Then came Arvind Kejriwal, what he said was something I could relate to. I think that people from different parts of the country are joining Arvind Kejriwal because he says what everyone feels," Khan told ANI.
Khan also confirmed that he would campaign for the AAP.
Meanwhile, Smita said that she has joined the AAP because she could relate to what Kejriwal said.
"When you hear someone speak about what you feel, then you should support him. I am able to relate to what Arvind Kejriwal says and intends to do," she said.
"It is not about Arvind Kejriwal, it is about the views that he represents. I feel that if we can support his thoughts and intention then we can be the part of change," she added.
