American singer Demi Lovato recently went through a rough phase following an incident of drug overdose.

Calling Lovato her inspiration, singer-songwriter Laura Rizzotto tweeted, "Happy bday @ddlovato ! You are an inspiration to so many of us, as an artist and human. Sending you lots of positive energy today. Have the best day!"

The 'Sorry not Sorry' singer has won many prestigious awards, including MTV Video Music Awards, People's choice, Billboard Women in Music award and 14 Teen Choice award. She even bagged a Grammy Award nomination. There is more to her achievements-- the singer has also been awarded the Guinness World Record for being the youngest X Factor judge ever.
Lovato, who was recently shifted from the hospital to a rehabilitation centre following a drug overdose, has left for Chicago for a psychiatric treatment.
The singer, who is well known for her struggle with drugs for years, recently gave fans a sneak peek into her life when she talked about her struggles with addiction in the documentary- 'Simply Complicated'.
She even opened up about her addiction to drugs in her single 'Sober', which was released in June.
