Twitch has announced that its number of users has reportedly plummeted to 1 million, beating Facebook in peak traffic.
The startup that allows players to broadcast and watch live streams of video gaming action, said that the increased number helped it push more traffic across the web, surpassing big names like Amazon and Pandora.
According to a new study from the cloud and network infrastructure firm DeepField, Twitch ranked among the leading web portals as largest sources of broadband traffic during prime-time hours, the Verge reported.
Twitch's vice president of marketing Matt DiPietro said that the chart was news for the company, as it did not keep track of its share of global internet traffic, adding that it was gratifying for the infrastructure team.
