At least two Afghan Independent Human Rights Commission (AIHRC) employees were today killed in a blast in Jalalabad in eastern Nangarhar province after their vehicle hit a roadside mine, said local officials.
According to ToloNews, two other employees have been confirmed injured by police officials.
Hazrat Omar Mashriqiwal, a spokesman for the provincial police chief, said the incident took place at 8:30 am local time after the vehicle they were travelling in struck the improvised explosive device (IED).
The blast took place when the employees of AIHRC were on the way to their office.
