Two arrested in former Dhanbad deputy mayor's murder case

The Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (UPSTF) has arrested two sharpshooters in connection with former Dhanbad deputy mayor's murder case.

According to the Uttar Pradesh STF, main sharpshooter Aman Singh and his accomplice Abhinav Singh were arrested from outside jail in Kotwali Katra area here.

The Uttar Pradesh STF added that the arrested persons killed former Dhanbad deputy mayor Neeraj Singh and three others.

Neeraj Singh, his driver Laltu, and his two associates- Ashok Yadav and Santosh Tiwary - were killed in an indiscriminate firing by the two motorcycle borne shooters earlier on March 21 in Jharkhand's Dhanbad town.

The shooters had sprayed around 100 bullets from AK-47 rifles on Neeraj Singh's SUV when he along with his associates was returning home.

 

The firing had left Neeraj and others severely injured and they later died in a hospital.

Aman Singh is also a prime accused in the murder of a journalist Karun Mishra.

The Uttar Pradesh STF had arrested Aman in Karun Mishra murder case earlier on February 22 last year and he was sent to the jail.
