The Guwahati Siphung express derailed between Salakati and Basugaon in Assam's Kokrajhar District on Saturday, injuring at least two people.
PRO of the North East Frontier Railway, Jayanta Sarma, reportedly stated that five passenger bogies have been derailed.
The derailment occurred at 6 am due to a tree lying on the track near Champa Bridge.
Police and railway officials have reached the spot.
