Bus accident in Solan district of Himachal Pradesh claimed two lives and injured 28 here on Sunday.
The incident happened in the morning when a bus in an attempt to save a car coming form the opposite direction rolled down a 40 feet gorge at Dharighat near Solan.
Station House Officer (SHO) of Kandaghat police in Himachal Pradesh Hari Bhagat Singh Negi said, "I reached the incident site with the police team. The bus met with an accident near Dharighat. There were around 30 people inside the bus. All the injured have been sent to district hospital in Solan for first aid. Two ladies have been killed in this accident. We are still enquiring about the reason behind the accident."
State Transport Minister G.S. Bali who was also present at the accident site said that full investigation will be done to find out the reason behind it.
"All the injured have been admitted to the hospital. The driver is also injured, as soon as he comes back in a condition to give statement we'll talk it and enquire," said Bali.
The bus was heading towards Shimla when it met with the accident. Many were severely injured. All the passengers have been rescued.
