two senior officers of Pakistan's army were killed in a bomb blast in the country's restive northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, the army said.
The improvised explosive device (IED) hit the vehicle of the army officers in Upper Dir district, the army spokesman said in a statement.
The statemt said that Major General Sanaullah and Lt. Col. Tauseef were killed in an IED blast in Upper Dir.
Major General Sanaullah had been on a visit to a forward post near Pak-Afghan border for the last couple of days.
He was on his way back after completing the visit when an IED planted by terrorists on the roadside blasted.

Hours earlier, a roadside bomb blast killed a Pakistani soldier in North Waziristan tribal region, security officials said.
Two soldiers were also injured in the blast near Mir Ali, they said.
The IED targeted a convoy of the security forces passing through the area. The blast occurred during a curfew for the weekly movement of the army.
