Two trains collide in minor accident in Bihar, no causalities reported

Two passenger trains had a side collision on Friday morning at Badh railway station near Patna in Bihar.

However, no casualties have been reported so far.

Chairman of the Railway Board Arunendra Kumar said that the collision took place between a demo train and the North-east express, leaving six coaches of the demo train derailed.

"Today at 6.55 am, 40 kilometers from Patna at Badh railway station a demo train had a side collision with the North-east Express. In this six coaches of the demo train were derailed, there is no news so far of anyone getting injured. The officers have left to reach the accident venue and services will resume shortly," Kumar said.

 

When asked about the cause of collision he said, "The cause of this accident is yet to be ascertained, it looks like someone might have overlooked the signal.
