The 'Gangs of Wasseypur' star, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who seems to have mastered the hearts of audiences with his acting skills, has said that he is discovering about himself with the characters he gets to play and would never want to become a typical hero or a villain.
The versatile actor, who was recently spotted at an event in the show-biz capital of India, Mumbai, said while addressing the media, "I do not want to play a character which is typically heroic or villainous because it doesn't interest me. I like characters which have layers to it, whether it's a hero or a villain. Earlier, a villain was completely bad and hero was good at everything but it is now that the commercial movies have started to develop characters with depth and layer."
Further, the 41-years-old actor said that he has a lot to discover about himself and the character he plays or takes up helps him to do it.
Siddqui's next will be with Radhika Apte, in Ketan Mehta's 'Manjhi- The Mountain Man', as a lead, which is scheduled to release on 21 August 2015.
