U.S. committed to continued partnership with Nepal: Envoy Teplitz

The U.S. on Monday said that it is committed to a continued partnership with the Nepal government, in order to build a more democratic, prosperous, and stable nation.

The remarks were made after the U.S. Ambassador to Nepal Alaina B Teplitz who paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal at his official residence in Baluwatar today.

The Dahal secretariat in a statement said that Teplitz wished the new Nepali Prime Minister for his successful term.

"The United States is committed to a continued partnership with the people and government of Nepal, in order to build a more democratic, prosperous, and stable nation," the Himalayan Times quoted Ambassador Teplitz, as saying.

 

The duo also discussed bilateral relationship between both the countries and the implementation of the Constitution and other latest political developments.

Prime MInister Dahal thanked Teplitz, her government and people of America for their positive support to Nepal.

The statement also said that the envoy also enquired about the Nepal's peace process.
