The United States Congress has extended the Coalition Support Fund (CSF) for Pakistan linking the future military aid to the country to tangible action against terror.
The CSF has new conditions wherein Pakistan cannot receive more than a billion dollars in a year from the fund.
According to Dawn News, U.S. allies would be reimbursed from the fund for the efforts they make in the war against terror.
In October, Pakistan received 370 million dollars from the fund this year.
The U.S. Senate Armed Services Committee issued the final text that shows that the support fund for Pakistan has been extended till U.S. fiscal year 2015.
The secretary will also need to certify that Pakistan has taken steps that have demonstrated a commitment to making North Waziristan a safe area and it does not return to being a safe haven for the Haqqani network.
