The University Grants Commission (UGC) will launch a month-long awareness campaign on the benefits of going in for cashless transactions at all universities under its jurisdiction.
In a letter to the universities, the UGC has said that the campaign will begin from December 12 and added that the aim is to educate and train students on various modes of digital payments.
The key aspect of this campaign it said is to ensure that every campus becomes completely cashless for receipts, payments and transactions.
