ITV drama 'Broadchurch' has claimed the BAFTA award for best drama series for third time on a row.

The hit series, which also won acting prizes for Olivia Colman and David Bradley at London ceremony, hauled more prizes than the entire BBC1 and BBC2 combined, the Guardian reported.

On the occasion Colman, 40, who won three Bafta awards in two years, got emotional during her acceptance speech, calling the show's creator Chris Chibnall a "f***ing genius".

Chibnall said that the honor meant a lot to them and that he had the "greatest cast he could hope" for the acclaimed murder mystery.
