The United Kingdom's foreign office has reportedly announced that it will help in the international mission to destroy Syria's chemical weapons.

The UK agreed to destroy 150 tons of industrial-grade chemicals from Syria's stockpile at a commercial facility.

According to News24, the US, Russia, China, Denmark, Norway and Finland are already committed to the mission.

The British foreign office further said that the chemicals will be shipped to the UK before being transferred to a commercial site to be incinerated and destroyed.

The UK will give specialist equipment to the US, to help transport chemicals and destruct some of the most toxic chemical weapons at the sea.

The report added the British foreign office saying that it will also provide a ship to help ensure the safety and security of Danish and Norwegian cargo vessels removing Syria's stockpile.
