Russia and Ukraine confirmed on Thursday that they would continue talks while an already weak ceasefire is expected to end.

Ceasefire has somewhat settled issues but the violence continues in Eastern Ukraine. Russian separatists are reported to have taken over the government buildings. A Ukraine base in the Donetsk area was attacked by the rebels and nine soldiers died while a military helicopter was shot down.

According to the Washington Post, many Ukrainians were fleeing to Russia from the Eastern border. There was a sense of betrayal among them and they pledged to never come back to their homelands.

Ukranian President, Poroshenko, asked Russia on Thursday to take actions that will settle conflicts.

The West has accused Russia of sending armed rebels to Ukraine. The Secretary of State John F. Kerry has put Russia under pressure to withdraw armed rebels from Ukraine.
