ANI New Delhi

The United Nations has reportedly postponed a conference aimed at re-establishing peace in conflict-torn Yemen.

Media reports said that the postponement has been done on the request of the parties involved in the dialogue process.

The United Nations has firmly said that dialogue will have be unconditional, and rejected exiled President Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi's demand that Shia Houthi rebels should pull out of cities and towns captured in recent months, including capital Sanaa.

The Houthis had backed the talks, with its leader Abdul-Malek al Houthi describing the dialogue as the only solution to the war.

The crisis has left millions in the Arab world's poorest country short of food and fuel.
