Somalia, on Wednesday, labelled UN Special Representative Nicholas Haysom as a 'persona non-grata', adding that he cannot operate in the country anymore.
"Somali notifies UN Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres that the United Nations envoy Nicholas Haysom is persona non-grata in the country and cannot operate," the Somali Foreign Ministry underscored, according to Sputnik.
Furthermore, Somalia also accused Haysom of "violating protocols" and "deliberately interfering" in the country's internal affairs.
Haysom had earlier condemned an attack on UN compound here, which injured two UN staff members on Tuesday. "(It) may amount to a violation of international humanitarian law," the Special Representative had said.
