A United Nations Military Observers Group in India and Pakistan (UNMOGIP) team has reportedly visited the Working Boundary (WB) near Sialkot to inspect the sites affected by recent ceasefire violations.

Pakistan's Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement that the team visited areas most affected by the recent Indian firing and were shown evidence of ceasefire violations, reported The Express Tribune.

It added that the team also inquired about the health of those injured during cross-border shelling in Sulehpor, Chaprar and Milanay sectors of the Line of Control (LoC).

The visit came after Pakistan lodged complaint against alleged ceasefire violations by the Indian side with the UNMOGIP. The Islamic republic had highlighted the use of heavy mortars and machine guns on civil population living along the WB and the LoC. It had also urged the UN to probe the incidents.
