Following his removal from performing responsibilities of the organisation, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) leader Kundan Chandrawat on Friday said he accepted the decision, adding that he fulfilled his duty of a patriot.
"There is absolute truth in this matter. I had made that statement keeping in mind the number of murders taking place in Kerala. The murders of the organisation were done with conspiracy. The Chief Minister and his workers were involved in the conspiracy and people were not given justice," Chandrawat told ANI.
Asserting that common people in Kerala were also being killed, Chandrawat said he had issued the statement thinking about the people's sentiments. "Now the entire world is taking cognizance of it. The entire world is with Kerala. I am extremely happy with it. I fulfilled my duty of a patriot. I could make this as the sentiment of the entire world and then I retracted my statement," he added.
"I accept the Sangh's decision. I was a volunteer of the RSS and I would remain to be so," Chandrawat said.
Chandrawat's response comes after the RSS removed Chandrawat from performing any responsibilities in the organisation.
"Kundan who made controversial statement at Ujjain protest mtg has been relieved of his responsibility in RSS: Dr MM Vaidya," the RSS said in a tweet.

The RSS yesterday condemned the statement by Chandrawat saying, "The RSS doesn't subscribe to any views advocating violence and strongly condemn it. Attached statement is loud and clear", said RSS spokesperson Manmohan Vaidya in a statement.
On this raging issue, RSS ideologue Rakesh Sinha commenting on the controversial statement said that this was a wrong statement and won't be acceptable at all.
"We too condemn it and the language used is absolutely wrong," he added.
Chandrawat earlier in a public gathering in Ujjain said: "Three hundred pracharaks have been killed. Communists be warned, we will offer a garland of three lakh heads to Bharat Mata."
Aside from his statement, Chandrawat also announced a bounty of Rs. one crore on the Kerala Chief Minister's head.
"If anyone beheads the Kerala CM, who is the murderer of RSS activists, and brings his head I will bequeath my property worth more than Rs. one crore to him," he said.
When questioned, Chandrawat was unapologetic and said he stood by his comments.
Vijayan downplayed K. Chandrawat's threatening remark against him and said the right-wing group has taken heads of several people.
"Sangh Parivar has taken heads of several. But we are to travel na?" Vijayan told the media here.
