Pakistan fast bowler Mohammad Irfan is likely to miss the upcoming World Cup quarterfinal clash against Australia on Friday due to a hip injury.
The Pakistan Cricket Board stated that Irfan underwent an MRI scan, adding that according to team's physiotherapist Brad Robinson, the detailed report from the radiologists would be available on Tuesday, Sport24 reported.
Robinson added that a decision would then be taken on his availability for the forthcoming quarter-final against Australia.
Irfan, who played a crucial role in reviving Pakistan's World Cup campaign after losing their first two matches, was sidelined from the game against Ireland on Sunday due to the injury.
