Morgan Freeman had a big scare recently when his private jet had to make an emergency landing after the jet blew off a tyre during take-off.
Freeman was not injured during the incident and thanked his pilot, Jimmy Hobson, for the safe landing.
After the incident, the 'Shawshank Redemption' actor issued a statement saying, "Sometimes things don't go as planned and a tire blew on take-off, which caused other problems," and thanked his excellent pilot Jimmy Hobson for landing safely without a scratch, E!Online reports.
However, Morgan said that he cannot say the same thing about the plane, adding that he appreciated the concern and prayers for their safety.
The 78-year-old actor was traveling from Mississippi to Texas for shooting a segment for the series 'The Story of God,' in which he serves as the host.
