The Union Cabinet met at 7 Race Course Road in the capital on Wednesday. They are likely to consider bringing out ordinances to push through reforms in sectors of insurance and coal.
Although, the Cabinet is likely to clear the ordinance on the Coal Mines (Special Provisions) Bill, 2014, they are yet to decide on whether an ordinance should be passed for the Insurance Laws Amendment Bill, 2008.
The Insurance Bill could not be passed in the Rajya Sabha due to constant parliament disruptions and uproar over conversion row.
Earlier on Tuesday, the parliament met for the last sitting of Winter Session.
