Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports Vijay Goel will pay a day long visit to Punjab today, during which he will attend several functions in Patiala and Rajpura.
At Netaji Subhas National Institute of Sports Patiala, Goel will unveil the Bust of Late Major Jyotin Singh, Ashok Chakra, and pay a visit to Sports Science Centre.
He will also inaugurate Special Certificate Course in Sports Coaching for Jammu and Kashmir Sports persons (under Prime Minister's Special Package for JK) followed by media interaction.
The Minister will also flag off a symbolic race as part of the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas and Rashtriya Ekta Saptah on the occasion of the just concluded birth anniversary of India's first home minister Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
He will address a public meeting at Rajpura in the evening.
