It seems like Universal is on a record setting roller coaster as the company has grossed one billion dollars domestically and 3 billion dollars globally at the box office just after 'Jurassic World' gave an astonishing performance worldwide.
Previously, the studio had for the second time crossed the 2 billion dollars international mark faster than any other in the history, and now it is bragging rights to the quickest climb to one billion dollars domestic gross, beating the previous record ascendance achieved by Paramount in June 2008, reported Deadline.com.
It is being said that Universal's worldwide box office gross is now an estimated 3.318 billion dollars, making the year 2015 company's biggest year ever.
Moreover, after 'Jurassic World' became Universal's fourth number one opening of 2015, the company has been declared number one at the North American box office for the eighth time.
The records that fell this weekend were propelled by hits as 'Fifty Shades Of Grey,' 'Furious 7 and Pitch Perfect 2,' along with 'JW' which just bowed to 511.8 million dollars worldwide which is the first time ever that a movie has made over 500 million in one weekend.
