After mesmerizing the nation with his voice at Indian Idol, winner LV Revanth has now been roped in by Universal Music India.
Universal Music is known to kick start successful music careers of several newcomers to enhance their footprint in the Bollywood music industry. The label has always aimed at supporting and developing new talents and will now boost Revanth in the same way.
The label plans to release singles with Revanth, along with giving him a wider platform with endorsements and live shows solely managed by the label.
26-year-old Revanth has won the judges over, with his incredible versatility and been consistent with his performances throughout the season, charming several Bollywood personalities during his journey on the show. Prior to the show, he has been an instrumental part of the South Indian music industry, singing more than 180 songs for movies that include Baahubali, Supreme and Mukunda.
Speaking on the occasion, R H Chhatrapati, vice president Universal Music and EMI - South Asia, said, "Our association with 'Idol' both globally & here has been very successful as we've seen the recorded music & the Live acts turn into a sustainable business.
