Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav on Monday hit out at the BJP following reports that Governor Ram Naik has sent a "special report" to President Pranab Mukherjee on the alleged exodus from Kairana and said the saffron party is raising such issues only because they have failed to fulfil the promises made to the nation.

"The people in the BJP are raising these questions only because they have failed to deliver and could not achieve as per their expectations. So, they are raising these questions," Yadav said.
"I am meeting the Governor this evening. I don't have any information about the report as of now, but I would definitely like to seek information as per the law," he added.
