Akhilesh Yadav, the youngest ever chief minister of India's most populous state Uttar Pradesh has reportedly said that his party alone is capable of stopping BJP's Narendra Modi.

Yadav said that while Modi was telling people about the development he brought in Gujarat, the Samajwadi Party government had done a lot for people including paying unemployment allowances to 1.2 million youngsters, giving laptops to 1.5 million youths, free irrigation and subsidies to farmers and unorganized sector workers and free health care for the poor.

Yadav also criticized Congress for not making any serious attempts to fight Modi and said that his party would fight communal forces in UP, the Gulf News reported.

Exuberating confidence on his electoral fortune, 40 year old Yadav said that he was positive that SP will improve on its 2009 tally and emerge as the single largest party in the state.

Yadav accused BJP of playing the religion card and said that his party will give a befitting reply to the communal designs of BJP, which will lose elections in UP.
