In what may come as a shock for many, SO Nagesh Mishra of Madiyaon Police Station was on Saturday suspended after he made everyone swear to a vow of cleanliness while he was consuming tobacco.

It may be noted that Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed the state government officials against using plastic products and pan masala in office premises.

"After detecting betel stains on the walls (of the government annexe building), the chief minister asked employees not to consume pan or pan masala during duty hours and ensure cleanliness," Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya told reporters.
