Former Uttar Pradesh Minister Raghuraj Pratap Singh, alias Raja Bhaiya, arrived at the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) headquarters for questioning in connection with the murder of a village head Nanhe Yadav and Deputy Superintendent of Police, Zia-ul-Haque.

He was earlier questioned at the Kunda Camp office of the investigation agency in Pratapgarh. CBI sources said in New Delhi, that 44-year old Raja Bhaiya, a prime accused in the case, was summoned by the agency for questioning in connection with the larger conspiracy related to the murder of Balipur village head Nanhe Yadav.

The CBI had last month arrested a security guard of the former minister, who allegedly led a mob, enraged by the killing of Yadav, to kill the police officer. The CBI has also taken into custody two persons considered close to the minister.

The CBI has so far arrested 11 persons in connection with the murders of Haq, Nanhe and his brother Suresh who were found dead on the evening of March 2nd in Balipur village. The CBI has also recovered the weapon, allegedly used in the killing of DSP Zia- ul-Haq. The CBI has registered four cases pertaining to the three murders and has booked Raja Bhaiya in one of them.
