Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party leader Om Prakash Rajbhar, who is also a Uttar Pradesh state cabinet minister, on Sunday issued a "warning" to Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), saying that if they did not grant rights to backward classes, then he was ready to go against them and sacrifice his life for that cause.
"I have not come to topple the government but warn them. The government in Delhi was formed with the help of backward classes. If you received votes, you will also have to grant them their rights," Rajbhar said while addressing a rally here.
"If I have to sacrifice my life fighting for rights of backward classes, I am ready," added Rajbhar, who is Uttar Pradesh backward classes welfare minister.
Rajbhar also slammed Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath-led government asserting that corruption has increased under the current regime.
"It is being told that under the BJP government there is no corruption. But that is not true. Earlier there was Rs. 500 corruption, but it has increased to Rs. 5,000," he said.
However, while talking to media before the rally, Rajbhar said he would not break his party's alliance with the BJP.
