Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Arun Jaitley on Saturday said that he saw the last session of Parliament as a lost opportunity, as the ruling UPA was given a chance to prove itself both as a government and in the two houses, but threw it all away.
"The UPA was at its peak in 2009, but then, the scams and the corruption made the UPA lose its credibility," said Jaitley.
"I see UPA-II as a 'lost opportunity'. They had a great chance, but they threw it away," he said.
"The UPA suffers from policy paralysis and lack of leadership. The attitude of the Congress Party in Gujarat is that of a bad loser," he added
He further said that there was no question of the BJP voting against the Telangana Bill.
"There was no question ever of the BJP voting against Telangana. In fact, the Congress was a late entrant on the Telangana bandwagon," Jaitley said.
