An All India Urdu 'Mushaira' was held in Kashmir Valley for the promotion of Urdu language and to make a platform for the future generation of poets. Some renowned poets of the Valley organized an all India Urdu 'Mushaira' in a hotel on the banks of the world famous Dal Lake.
More than 40 poets who came from different states including Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Jharkhand and Banaras recited poems that were related to tradition, beauty, culture and literature.
The poets got a huge appreciation from the audience and they demanded that such events should continue in future for the promotion of Urdu language in the Valley.
